Sam Carlson "Four" Bamboo Fly Rod 7'6" 2/2 #3An exquisite Sam Carlson Four bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for what feels to me like a #3 line. Serial #824 4758, the 4th rod built in 1982. The rod weighs 3 3 4 ounces on my scale. Signed "C. W. 'Sam' Carlson Maker", and "Carlson Four" on the shaft. Mint pristine condition with paper on the grip and the rod specs and original owner's name inked on the paper. Fairly full flexing action. Flamed cane with lighter nodes overlayed with
T&T swiss ferrules are oxidized
Someone has tidied up the metalwork and the tube by removing any patina
Size is 16 x 20

all sections are full length and straight
