Maxwell Leonard 39M-5 Bamboo Fly Rod 7'6" 2/2 #5An HL Leonard model 39M 5 bamboo fly rod, 7'6", 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for a #5 line. Serial #434. Built in 1979 during the Maxwell period. The rod weighs 4 ounces on my scale. Medium to faster action for a #5. Very light use with just a hint of brassing to the interior of the guides and a little edgewear to the cap and ring oxidation (which is about 98% intact). There are no casting cracks to the ferrule wraps or edgewear to the ferrules. Blonde
