HL Leonard Duracane Bamboo Fly Rod 6'6" 2/2 #4An HL Leonard Duracane bamboo fly rod, 6'6", 2 piece, 2 tips, and built for a #4 line. Serial #2655 with an approximate manufacture date of the early 1970's. The rod weighs 2. 4 ounces on my scale. Very lightly used condition, with no cosmetic cracks to the ferrule wraps, no grip soiling, but there is a tiny bit of brassing to the inner snake guides, a bit of wear on the ferrule welt, and some oxidation that's rubbed off on the corner of the pocket

but you can still see the Eagle Claw stamp on the thumb rest

The rod appears to be in mint

Diameter is 3 3/8"

Original tube and bag

The rod bag is blue cloth and the rod tube is black crackle painted with brass fittings and Mike's data sticker

with the tips bearing 1 or 2 dots respectively

Aluminum cap and ring reel seat over a cork spacer with another band of bakelite above the butt cap

and the spare spool also comes in a green original pouch with box and papers

7'3" 2/2 for a #4/5

as it is slightly heavier than the 100-series rods in this length
