Farlex Platewind Fly Reel 1-1 DD 3 3/4"A nice Farlex Platewind direct drive fly reel, 3 3 4" diameter and set up for RHW (though the bias is fairly neutral). Raised pillar design. Serial #082. There are two tiny mounting marks on the the foot ends but I can find no sign that the reel has been fished (maybe it happened for potential rod matching purposes?). Silver anodized throughout. The reel weighs 10 ounces on my scale. Gear and pawl drag system with a nice loud click. Ebonite handle

A Hardy Perfect 3 1/8" fly reel

The reel is in excellent condition with only the slightest of handling marks

The capacity is a WF4 plus 25 yds of 20# backing

The tube has an exterior leather sheath most likely done by Arne Mason and has a heavy brass collar top done in a style reminiscent of the Thomas & Thomas tube tops and again engraved by Paolo Barbetti
