Abel .5 Fly Reel with Spare SpoolAn Abel Pt. 5 fly reel with a spare spool. 3" diameter and set up for LHW. The reel weighs 4. 5 ounces on my scale. Serial #15274. Good used condition with some marks on the frame and spool edges. The spare spool appears little used if at all. Black anodized throughout with teardrop style porting. The reel packs into an original black Abel pouch while the spare spool packs black zipper pouch.
The main wraps are apricot with maroon edges and brown at the ferrules
Comes with its original Hardy case
lightly used condition with just a few small cosmetic traces of wear
and has a nice medium fast dry fly action
The majority of the original leaded finish remains
A very nice mint rod here
A fine example of an early Perfect and in stunning original condition
The rod is in excellent original+ original condition with one exception
Fine used condition overall with normal cosmetic wear
Varnished light to a medium dark flame treatment
The tan cloth bag has a stiffener
