Myott Tonquin Red Transferware PlateA red transferware plate in the Tonquin pattern by Myott of Staffordshire. The centre shows a lakeside scene with a house, a bridge and swans, framed by a dense border of roses and full blown flowers in deep pink. The reverse carries the printed Myott backstamp. Tonquin was produced in England using hand engraved copper plates and underglaze colour, a traditional method that gives the print its soft depth. Great on a plate wall. Condition: Good
