Handmade Spongeware Extra Large Sauce BoatA generously sized handmade spongeware sauce boat, glazed in cream with a mottled green sponge finish. The rim is scalloped and fluted, with a curled loop handle shaped by hand. A wide pouring lip and raised foot give it a substantial presence for serving gravy or sauce. Condition: Very good vintage condition. Some small chipping to the rim, more consistent with glazing defects than damage. Dimensions: 24 cm wide x 8. 5 cm deep x 12 cm high
