Scallop Shell Gyotaku Print, Wet Mounted A4Scallop shells have been used so much in art and design they really are very pleasing. They are particularly tied to the Island of Anglesey as they have their own biscuit here. The Aberffraw biscuit is made by pressing biscuit dough into the shell to give it a distinctive shell shape. Printing requires pushing the paper into the grooves and it's difficult to achieve a great print. This A4 print is on Thai Mulberry paper and has been mounted using the

April 18th was Easter Monday and we took some family over to Aberffraw for a beautiful walk around the headland

It will be wrapped in acid free tissue paper and sent ready for framing

in this case I used a Chinese rice paper

This is the first time she has then mounted the print onto canvas and put it into a float frame
