This print measures 35x33cm and is on Chinese Mulberry paper and has been mounted using the authentic Japanese wet mounting technique which uses a simple flour and water paste and requires a period of around 24 hours to dry and stretch

Whereas most Gyotaku are made to record a fisherman's catch

The body is very delicate and needs to be handled carefully and the fins were very tricky to capture

This strengthens the print and flattens it so it can be framed
