It’s reminiscent of the marshland scenery encountered in Suffolk or Norfolk

The artist is unknown but it’s possibly inspired by the 17th-century Hungarian-British painter

they were often hung in country homes across the UK

The frame is at least 200 years old and there are various old wormholes

Certainly a museum quality piece

Whereas the basket in the background is lit softly aside from the handle
