15th century knee armorThe knee armour is crafted after an image of the battle of Agincourt (1415). Knee armour of this type was worn by infantrymen throughout Europe. It is a fairly basic piece of plate armour, yet permits sufficient freedom of movement whilst offering protection to the knees. The armour has been fitted with roundels on the inside of the knee to protect it.

Gores on the sides — triangular pieces of fabric that give medieval garments a flare — are incorporated into the construction
