2023 Folk Machine ValdiguieBlind tasting tonight? Youd be forgiven for guessing this grape as Bizarro Pinot but youd be wrong. Indigenous to the Languedoc Roussillon, this used to be so widely planted here in CA they called it Napa Gamay. Kenny Likitprakong of Folk Machine got his hands on some of this rare varietal a while back and took CA by storm. Made from 100 year old vines, this Valdiguie is highly aromatic and packed with bright berries and fresh herbs. Drink ambitiously
