The sleek, delicious and vibrant middleweight flavors possess solid density as well as an appealing mouthfeel while displaying good if not genuinely special persistence on the balanced if slightly rustic finish that is firm enough to warrant 5 to 8 years of cellaring.

There is superb intensity to the subtly layered medium weight flavors that exhibit an undercurrent of minerality before culminating in a dry and mouth coating but not really austere finish that goes on and on

and due to its elevation

indeed to the point where they possess a silky mouth feel and culminate in a superbly long and punchy finish that is the epitome of finesse

and one-year-old American oak hogsheads

it’s a very attractive wine for drinking over the next decade

complex and lingering finish that is supported by well-integrated tannins and fine length

This is a classic vintage for Mount Eden that should drink confidently for several decades
