Julius Vom Hofe - Raised Pillar / German Silver fly reel - Size 1For sale here is a brilliant example of a Julius Vom Hofe raised pillar fly reel, constructed from german silver & hard rubber. Size 1 (3 inch diameter pillar to pillar). The reel is in excellent overall condition. No cracks in the hard rubber and no dings to the nickel silver. The foot is full length and un filed. Mechanically the reel is in fantastic condition. Another timeless classic that needs to hang from one of your cane rods and go fishing

and simply have the serial number 37 on the reel feet

as I had learned from Tom Maxwell
