Lot 058 - Antique WWI Trench Art Vase with Floral Repousse Decoration, British 18-Pounder Brass Shell Casing Dated 1917, Scalloped Rim, 4" W x 11-5/8" HAntique WWI trench art vase fashioned from a British 18 pounder brass artillery shell casing. The body features repousse floral decoration with blooms, stems, and leaves set against a stippled background. The rim has been cut into a scalloped edge. The base is stamped "18 PR II," "1917," "OTB 8271," "ECC B," and "WEX," among other inspection and production marks. The vase shows overall patina and oxidation consistent with age.
