Ari Hart Remco Fly ReelA superb Ari 't Hart Remco fly reel in the very desirable phillips braun silver color combination. Made in Holland. The reel is set up for left hand retrieve and appears to be unfished. There are very faint mounting marks on the reel foot but I could find no sign that the reel has actually been used. The adjustable drag works marvelously with a subtle inbound click and a louder outbound, and it can be set to a surprisingly strong drag level. The spool

The rod is numbered 910 36 which I believe indicates it was the 36th rod made in October 1969 ~ an original Sharpe's made rod
The reel is in excellent original condition
The reel features a large arbor spool with a large easy palming rim for added control
The varnish on this rod is magnificent with no bag marks or other signs of wear
The screw lock is polished bright and the ferrules oxidized
Size 12/64 and 15/64 ferrules with a tight fit
The grip is 6" long and shaped to a slim cigar
Serial number 2113 appears on both sections
It is common belief that "Finished by Don West" implies that Paul Young sent the blank
