API Limited Edition Sea Run Reel

API Limited Edition Sea Run ReelA scarce API Sea Run fly reel designed and patented by Oscar Kovalovsky. 3 3 4" diameter and set up for RHW. Anti reverse. Made in the late 1980s by Angling Products Inc. in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey. Serial #48 of 100 made. The reel does not appear to have been fished at all. It weighs 10. 4 ounces on my scale. The spool width is 1". Black anodized finish and the reel comes in a handsome wooden display box with extra hardware and paperwork. A

a tiny amount of pitting at the base of the interior of the spool

For sale here is a Julius Vom Hofe made size 4 fly reel

but very clean otherwise with good patina and free of any major defects

This reel has definitely seen much time on the stream
