Bogdan Steelhead ReelA superb Bogdan steelhead reel, 3 1 4" diameter and set up for RHW. Mint, unused condition. The reel weighs 6 ounces on my scale. Unventilated black anodized side plates. The frame and spool are anodized silver, as are the serpentine handle and counterbalance, and the bogdan nameplate and oilport on the backplate. Pleasing fixed click drag. while the rear of the grip is relatively constant

Good refinished condition with hard varnish

The spacer is a mortised and nicely varnished walnut

The reel has no mounting marks on the foot

My sense is that Young made this tip later and slightly heavier

loop with a dry fly
