2025 Spring Kunlu Xiao Qiao Mu Sheng / Raw Puerh Tea - 200g Cake :: Seattle InventoryKunlu Shan is one of our year after year favorites. We have been sourcing tea from the same garden and farmers for more than 10 years. It never disappoints. This material is from their small arbor trees that is called Xiao Qiao Mu (that just means small arbor tree). We call it KXQM for short. The tea is full bodied and creamy with minimal bitterness or astringency. It is very floral with potent orchid notes. There is a finishing sweetness like cotton

This is a very approachable Bulang experience

The texture is creamy and dense … The flavor is strong

Do a long initial rinse between 15 and 30s

There's no real taste other than bitter though

It is an incredible piece of art and we are blessed to have it on a cake of our tea

which means 'golden melon'

It bounces around from sweet and savory and is overall a lighter flavoured tea

There is astringency but not bitterness

There is a present bitterness but it is beautifully balanced with sweetness
