RL Winston Bamboo Fly Rod 8' 3/2 #4A nice RL Winston bamboo fly rod, 8', 3 piece, 2 tip, and built for a #4 line. Serial #4248. The rod weighs 4. 6 ounces on my scale. Lawn cast only. Medium to medium fast action. Light tan color cane done in a three up node pattern configuration. Tan main wraps with cinnamon accents. Agate stripper and black snake brand guides. Superb varnish. 6 1 2" full wells grip with a hidden pocket cap. The reel seat is an uplocking nickel silver screwlock with a

The nickel silver rims are in excellent condition as well with just a bit of tarnish from age that could be polished out easily by the next owner

The drag is rather interestingly controlled underneath the handle by way of a small integrated adjustable knob that exerts pressure on the spool

Near mint condition overall with a few very minor marks around the the frame edges but the crank plate and spool are nice and clean and no other signs of wear that I could find anywhere
