Hardy Bougle Commemorative 1903 Limited Edition Fly ReelFor sale here is a Hardy Bougle Limited Edition fly reel commemorating the 1903 Hardy Bougle model. Near mint condition with only very faint marks on the reel foot. These reels were all made in England. This is serial number USA 031 made by J. M. Hudson. Comes with original box, leather case, and paperwork. This reel was originally sold by Gates Ausable Lodge in Grayling, MI back in May 1998.
The reel foot measures 3 7/8" in length
Line capacity WF10+150
has a leader lok
The action is a great medium-fast dry-fly
This German silver model is 2 5/8" in diameter and features a perforated spool that allowed lines to dry while remaining on the reel
The caliper spring is nice and strong and the bridged tensioner works as intended
50" in Bogdan width calculation terms (edges of outer spool flange)
The reel is set up for left hand retrieve but can be switched to right by the buyer
For sale here is a bamboo rod made by Rolf Baginski of Germany - his "Horizon" model - 6 feet
This rod came from the Young family and includes a provenance letter from Todd Young
Includes original black vinyl case and booklet
The original tip has a slight set in it
