Jaboulet Hermitage La Chapelle 1985 (Ex-Domaine)One of the more finesse driven wines in the vertical, the 1985 Hermitage la Chapelle offered beautiful, complex notes of coffee beans, dried meats, potpourri and mint to go with a full bodied, elegant and seamless feel on the palate. Following on the heels of the monster sized '89, it still stood out for its purity, fine tannin and length on the finish. It's a beautiful wine drinking at point.

Perhaps the finest wine yet made at Blankiet is the spectacular 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Paradise Hills Vineyard

This promising effort appears to have more than enough density to eventually absorb the wood treatment

The 57-acre estate vineyard includes the Helms Vineyard in Rutherford

this is not especially dense but it is both very complex and well-balanced

this is pretty and perfectly nice but it's not a great Musigny
