Park Imperial SouthThis print was inspired by the Park Imperial South buildings in Palm Springs and was one of the very first pieces in whats now become a long running series. I made it long before Id ever visited Palm Springs in person, the obsession was already there. What first drew me to Park Imperial South was its bold mid century modern design, especially the dramatic, angular rooflines that feel so unmistakably Palm Springs. Its the kind of architecture that

It was so surreal to be surrounded by rows of empty seats steeped in so much talent and history

A few years later

The food is

my one and only trip to this theatre was at night

they’re easily some of my favourites in the city

This piece actually began as a custom commission for someone in my audience who went to UCLA

They connected me with the company that manages events at the estate and arranged a private tour for the next time I was in Palm Springs

shelves overflowing with objects

and somehow it’s always bigger than I remember

but there was just something uniquely magical about those early trips

the response was incredible and honestly surprising
