Walt Carpenter Browntone Fly Rod 7'3" 3/2 #4/5A Walt Carpenter Browntone bamboo fly rod, 7'3", 3 piece, 2 tip, and built for a #4 or #5 line. Serial #25173. The rod weighs 3. 4 ounces on my scale. The action is a bit to the faster side of medium. The rod shows signs of modest use, with some cosmetic casting cracks at the ferrule wraps and brassing to the inner snake guides. The grip remains very clean and the rod is nice and straight. The cane is medium flamed and done in a three up node pattern.
The wraps are red and color preserved
Complete with ferrule plugs for both male and female
about 2 ounces less than the normal catalog weight on account of the ventilation
