When he messaged me to say he had a John Dory I was very excited

this work continues my exploration of traditional printing techniques reimagined through a modern lens

It is used a lot by Gyotaku artists but I have always struggled with it so I was really pleased with this print and a couple of others I produced as I think I’ve finally got to grips with it

I created this piece by printing the same sea bass again and again in black sumi  to build the feeling of a moving shoal

This would make a lovely addition to any coastal home

This now gets left to dry for 24 hours and then it's dry and I can lift the flat print off the board
