Never Stop ExploringAntarctica is one of those places where is so hard to capture the true beauty and vastness. I often choose to not have people in landscape shots I compose but in this one I choose to leave them in. I took this from the helicopter after dropping our mountain guide and team high on the glacier where no one had ever set foot, as they were heading to a never before explored area. You can just see them roped together traversing the slope. Prize Sizes:

This mature pair was some of the first to make it through the breaking spring ice as a pod with some young calfs waited for larger openings before risking entering the ice
